We are a family owned business based in the West Metro Minnesota region. My wife and I started this business in 2020 with a vision and passion for building high quality sheds and fencing. Together, with my brother-in-law, we have grown our business from the ground up.
We strive to learn and grow every single day. We are continuously researching the best processes and best procedures to provide top notch customer service and high-end products for our customers. We are proud of what we do and proud to serve our customers, our employees, and our community.
I like to consider myself the "coffee guy" here at the Shed and Fence Company. While yes, alongside my wife, I am the "owner," but I am certainly not the boss. Yes, I had the idea and made the first move towards building the company; but from there, this company was built by many people. It was built by the amazing customers who have put their trust in us to build them a quality product that we proudly stand behind. It has been built by Kelsie and our daughter Hallie, who have sacrificed their time and energy, and always had my back throughout the entire journey. From day one, they have supported my every move. It has been built by the employees who have dedicated themselves to the company, the vision and the passion of giving the customer 100% at all times. I am here for all of them and if they need coffee, I get them coffee.
I grew up in Brooklyn Center & Brooklyn Park, MN where I spent my childhood playing sports and running the neighborhood. Any free time I had, I really enjoyed building things and figuring out how stuff worked. I've always loved being outside and getting dirty and this is what developed my passion for working with my hands.
We moved to St. Bonifacius, MN two years after getting married. I joined the fire Department in 2016 which stemmed from my childhood neighbor who was a volunteer firefighter and showed me the passion of serving others first hand.
"St. Boni" as we call it is a small town that is only one square mile. While the area around us continues to grow we still carry the small town feel here and we truly love our community.
When Kelsie, Hallie and I happen to find any free time, you can usually find us on the lake, or camping and doing whatever comes along with those things.
The Shed & Fence Company was founded in 2020 when I decided my 15-year career in collision repair needed to come to an end. It had been a great run, but the passion was not there. The attention to detail required in the collision repair industry along-side a lifetime of building things for a hobby and with family and friends, made building quality sheds and fences an easy transition. Once in the business I was trained further on proper fence building techniques by the American Fence Association via their comprehensive fence installation school.
My wife Leah and I have been married for 11 years this year and we have three small children. We praise God for bringing us together and blessing us with our family!
I served in the United States Marine Corps for four years as an Infantryman. I've earned a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from St. Scholastica, a Bachelorette degree in Exercise Science from Concordia University, and a Truck Technician Diploma from Saint Paul Technical College.
I am passionate about Christ, physical activity/exercise, and making valuable contributions to our community through the skills I have been given. I enjoy working with my hands and the ability to try and fix or repair cars and things around the house.
Leah currently homeschools our eight year old daughter Addisyn and our six year old son Elijah. Lilyanna is our youngest at 14 months old and she's along for the homeschool journey too! As a family, we love being active outdoors, exploring God's beautiful creation and just spending time together. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve others and look forward to helping with your next shed or fence project!
I grew up in Crystal, MN but found my true home in Maple Grove, MN.
I have an adult daughter who lives with her fiancé in Roseville. I am looking forward to their wedding this coming Fall. I also have a teenage son who keeps me very busy. I really enjoy watching him play sports. He loves them all: Baseball, Basketball, Hockey, and Football. He makes life fun, never a dull moment with him around. I love my children very much, but they might tell you I love my dachshund more. Kidding aside, I do love animals. They bring so much love and joy to our family and lives.
After I graduated from Armstrong High School, I went to Hennepin Technical College and received a degree in Culinary Arts. I thought I wanted to be a chef. During that time, I was also very involved in my family's Horse Ranch. My love for horses quickly led me down a very different career path in Sales and Horse Fencing. It was during that time I discovered this crazy passion for fencing. Yes Fencing.
The last two years have brought so many changes due to Covid. I realized it was time for me to reflect and pray on what was next. My decision was moving into residential fencing.
This process brought me to the Shed and Fence Company. I couldn't be more excited to join the Team!
